WE HAVE A LOT… 

We have several social media accounts because seven years ago, social media platforms lacked today’s functionality.

How many accounts? We are at 500 now. We do not use all of them. At any given moment, we are working on 50 accounts.

We have to pay extra for the functionalities that we need for the blogs because we are not coders. Functionalities such as commerce, videos, audio, and cloud services have a cost, and we use more.

We have many Facebook character pages and Twitter accounts. Each lead character has a Facebook page and Twitter. The main characters we use daily have blogs at WordPress and Tumblr.

We had a directory, but because few people used it, that Facebook page has lapsed.

Characters have packages consisting of FacebookTwitter, and Tumblr because we, SWAG77, have found the best development of stories, plots, drabbles, metas, headcanons, and fan-fictions are best with these packages. Also, these packages develop a character design that gains social media metrics and insights into what works best with this character’s portrayal and performance in public.

For Example:

For Grand Admiral Thrawn, we created a Facebook pageTwitter accountTumblr blogWordPress blog, and a Patreon tier.

SWAG77 uses the Facebook page to broadcast our story ideas, character background, and canon/non-canon concepts SWAG77 wishes to relay to the public. This account links to our Twitter account with short messages through a social media management platform.

The Twitter account reaches out to an audience that craves rapid and concise messages. The pacing of Tweets excites users. SWAG77 roleplays and performs on Twitter. To gain expand understanding, we write blogs to explain SWAG77’s stories and canon/non-canon positions. We include our videos and podcasts to open up the audiovisual concepts SWAG77 wishes to show to the public. Some content is too proprietary or too mature to display publicly on our open blogs. We created Patreon.

Patreon is for active patrons to directly influence our proprietary content, hypothesis, underlying themes, and controversial subject matter. In our performances and parody rewrites of current news events, SWAG77 encounters harsh and severe misconceptions. Often, we interact with fans who refuse to read or write Star Wars. Thus, any discussion hurts our business. While we are willing to educate fans, we have found that minimal engagement is best. Should fans want more, they can join our Patreon.

We find that fans invest emotionally in entertainment content. Some fans cannot separate between fact or fiction and live their reality vicariously. There is psychological contagion on social media that spreads rapidly where the artificial intelligence engines are incapable of discerning. SWAG77 has endured attacks on our social media accounts because we discuss and tagline promotes our controversial subject matter that can enrage some fans. We suffer the brunt of this disinformation and toxic fandom in entertainment. SWAG77 has little recourse but blocks/bans radical fans who refuse to “stay on target” with our content and messaging.

SWAG77 created Patreon to open our stories to diverse points of view. We would instead show our completed work on all our Facebook, Twitter, and Blog accounts. But put our proprietary content behind a paywall for serious fan engagement with Star Wars fandom. We as a business feel safer with like-minded fans who support SWAG77 primary mission.

What does that do for our Thrawn?

It tightens the fan-fiction stories that SWAG77 wants to present publicly. The more we engage, the better our content creation. We want to show Disney Lucasfilm Star Wars the best that fandom has to offer. We know that the Disney Corporation prefers fan camaraderie rather than conflict.

Grand Admiral Thrawn is a villain that author Timothy Zahn wrote novels in 1991 in the Legend’s canon. Recently, Lucasfilm reintroduced Thrawn into Disney canon with new canon literature and Star Wars Rebels TV show. In SWAG77’s opinion, Thrawn is not a villain yet in the Disney novel canon. In the Star Wars Rebels TV show, he does some questionable actions, but nothing as extensive as in the Legend’s canon books. SWAG77 reads all the books from Legend’s canon and Disney’s canon. We encourage fans to READ — and READ BOOKS, particularly Star Wars literature. Both canons write about Thrawn. There are conflicts in both canons, but we can write about them in the blogs so that fans can choose their story path and then create their own stories with a good foundation that SWAG77 provides to our Patreon members.

From Star Wars fans’ suggestions, SWAG77 adds the ideas to best portray and perform Grand Admiral Thrawn during our scripted roleplays. We will give accolades to those who helped SWAG77 develop the character and story arc.

These activities are what the Star Wars Actors Guild 77 (SWAG77) has done for thirteen years.

Mitth’raw’nuruodo, a Chiss Imperial Officer distant emotions with a cool reflective to lead his sector fleet in the Galactic Empire. His strategies and tactics work better when he is devoid of emotion, as taught by the Chiss Ascendancy House Nuruodo. He was exiled from his people as punishment for an outburst he had in Chiss Space. Or at least that is what is on the official record. Found on an undeveloped planet, the Galactic Empire embraced him and he rose through the Imperial ranks to a Grand Admiral. Life is lonely at the top. It bores him, the people, the slow pace, the loneliness. His personal studies in art and antiquities brought him creature-comfort joy. Then he met a young Rebel woman, a Mandalorian, an artist that excites his fascination in the galaxy and gives him room to breathe, creatively. A fiery passion ignites his desires. The Chiss thought the Ascendancy excise those genes from the gene pool through eugenics. Turns out his desires for community are not genetic. His desires expand and reverberate continuously in the Force.

THE FACE OF NATURE’S CRUELTY – SWAG77 PERFORMANCE

The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 has been working on a storyline about:

The Yuuzhan Vong found an ancient derelict Sith ship with kyber crystal pyramidal holocrons where living organisms can be inserted inside the crystal boosting its power.

The Grysks were crushing the kyber crystals for food to eat.

The Yuuzhan Vong fired on the Sith ship and incinerated the Grysk for such blasphemy.

Hundreds of years later, a kyber crystal activated as a beacon and artifact treasure hunters raced to find the derelict ship.

TY’GEN DOUGHTRYSS (an OC) determines the exact coordinates and gets to the ship first. He discovers the holocron first that flashes and has a living organism inside it.

Have the Yuuzhan Vong learned how to “grow” kyber crystals with living organisms inside them?

Mr. David Oyelowo And Our Block Reasons

In People Magazine “Couch Surfing” Mr. Oyelowo who voices AGENT ALEXSANDR KALLUS in STAR WARS REBELS shares that Star Wars fans disappointment that he voices this ANIMATED character. The animated character appears differently than Mr. Oyelowo — ie The character is white and Mr Oyelowo is Black.

Of course that should NEVER matter. One is a very REAL PERSON, PROFESSIONAL AWARD WINNING ACTOR and the other is a fabricated animation in the mind of artists. What brought this character to life is Mr. Oyelowo’s creative voice performance. Nothing else brings any animated character than a professional voice actor’s performance. To deny his ability is to be racist and bigoted.

There is bigotry in Star Wars fandom. We saw it best with Ahmed who voiced and CG MoCAPped JAR JAR BINKS. The harassment he endured nearly caused him to commit suicide. Only until recently has he opened up to speak about it.

While it is not Disney’s or Lucasfilm’s fault at the hands of racist and bigoted fans, it has proven very difficult to quell ignorances and cognitive biases of some ugly sides of fandom.

The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 has been at the attacks by bigots since 2008. We have fended of bigots in ways at first that seems cruel, but when encountered, the sufferers begin to understand why we did what we did. From a small business standpoint, our acts are justified, because we cannot afford a large lawyer representation. Disney and Lucasfilm does not support our efforts. Their people were told lies about us and are fearful of our ire. But our ire was in place for our use until their own workers incurred utterly racist and bigoted attack for the last few years. All the while, our attacks are minimal.

So here is our small business auto block procedures:

Any post or comment that uses profanity without cause directed to us. We delete, sometimes report, and ban the attacker. Those attacks typically look like “what the f*ck is this sh*t” and use of hateful real life epithets like the N-word.

Massive number of posts when we have never interacted with you. Those attacks appear like more that 3-4 posts. We are not rated to deal with your stalker obsessions. We do not DM people we do not feel comfortable around.

Tag team attack. We don’t play that. Those attacks appear like @1, @2, @3-10 on a post that could be about art from a famous artist.

Telling us what to post — you don’t pay for our accounts, you don’t tell us how to post to it. Who died and made you gods? These attacks look like “you cannot say that. You can only post ____________”

Most of character accounts are in character. They will block on any attempts to learn who the MUNDANE is behind the account. These characters are stuck on social media, that is it. No more, no less. Forcing exposure is OUTING what SWAG77 is trying to do. If a user does not agree, move on, there are other accounts. We find irrational attacks, we will block. These attacks look like, “so you hate the [real life political issue today]?” to gain a confirmation of their beliefs than what we are doing — which is Star Wars.

It is our pages, our user names and involves what we are doing, and deciding to force us to admit something from long ago or unrelated to performance will get you blocked and we will move one. With that, we give you an in kind directive and you get snarky, you are ruining our ability to do business on our streams. Either you stay into the agreement or walk away. If you refuse — such as saying I can post what I want freedom of speech–we will block you. We do not go to anyone’s feeds intentionally to ruin their process, but for you to feel entitled to our posts and your not paying us, it is better for us to silence your bad behavior. What this attack looks like is the user intrudes into the conversation uninvited and speaks outside of the primary post, the user account request redirection and the attacker say “free speech, you should feel one over the other, that hasn’t been what I have expected–” the issue is it separates from the primary goal which is Star Wars online.

We do not sell your stuff. Overriding our ad links, will get you blocked. We have affiliates that we meet our business goals, like a fan table at Star Wars Celebration. When you interfere with our money, illegally, we just block since going after you legally cuts out of our budgets.

Refusal to read our blogs and not staying on topic. We are not only doing this for you. We are organized into a Star Wars fan group to portray our fandom respectfully. Just because you do not like one post is your decision. These attacks generally look like “I am going to UNLIKE this page because I hate XYZ Star Wars Established Canon Disney or otherwise” — you will be banned, your comment will be reported and/or erased. We do not care about your approach, it means you failed to read our blog notes on how we perform our MUSES and that we perform under a storyline arc. If you aren’t going to read and respect that, then we feel our accounts aren’t for your interactions.

Potential SWAG77 Storyline In 2014

When the Star Wars Actors Guild 77 roleplay performs, we plan our performances to reflect our fan made stories and headcanons.

This storyline was the strengthen and embolden the presence of MARA JADE as a character in STAR WARS REBELS. She would be ~13 years old. We were trying develop key personality traits of a 13 year old versus the adult version.

She was to infiltrate the REBELS and destroy them. That did not happen and in the Disney Lucasfilm version, it’s totally different. As SWAG77 we are FINE with that, but at least we attempted to write a story, than complained how bad we think Star Wars is and join toxic fandom.

Some toxic fans do not care about our vision because of Dunning-Kruger effects. They think they know ALL ABOUT STAR WARS and no one knows more than them. These fans also perform in GODMOD ways which KILLS roleplay and destroys public performances. It’s worse than a TROLLS treatment, because a TROLL just disagrees; whereas a GODMODDER is in on the performance game and sells out all the secrets to the public. You can trust a TROLL to be an asshole. You can NEVER TRUST A GODMODDER!

 

The point of this story arc was to get ships better than the Empire’s Star Destroyers and anything else they crafted together. Of course, the Rebels would never have that technology and that is kind of the point of the story as a lead in to A New Hope. The Rebel Alliance heard stories about a new ship under construction of immense power than no one had ever seen (of course that is the Death Star) and they felt if they had better starships to fight against this “unknown entity” they would be fine against this weapon. They were wrong.

The KUATIS built the hyperdrive engines for the Imperial Star Destroyers. The Emperor sensed some malfeasance by the KUATIS, he wanted a secret way in to their very private royal family. The Sultan’s grand-daughter to the SHESH family, VIQI SHESH was having her 6 (or age appropriate) year old birthday party and top galactic celebs were to be invited. Of course the Emperor could not make it. But he sent MARA JADE to go undercover with her REBEL friends and see what the SHESH’s were doing.

Of course there back-up plans to back-up plans. Of course there are other forces at stake here to show off to the Emperor who is a sadist and enjoys conflict. He gets off on conflict. But here’s a KID’S version of a back-up plan.

Come to find out, that the “hyperfuel” itself was being ORGANICALLY SYNTHESIZED AND FULLY PROCESSED by an unknown seller from the OUTER RIM off the TINGEL ARM…

The MARA JADE team managed to steal an entire slat of hyperfuel and put it on ALDERAAN — which feeds into another headcanon we have — another reason why the Emperor destroyed Alderaan was because it was infected by the YUUZHAN VONG BIOTS!

Here our touchpoints in the roleplay that we needed to perorm and prove.

1. The Rebels are fighting to get a ship in space. But aren’t able to do it. They have to retreat.

2. Then a surprise communique invites Mara to a special birthday party for the Shesh’s on Kuat.

3. If Mara doesn’t go to the “princess party” she will be ratted out. But if Mara goes to there, she has to take Ezra and Sabine definitely and possibly Hera as her “governess”.

4. But while they’re there, they discover there are plans for a new hyperdrive engine. So they can steal it and get it to Alderaan so they can retrofit it for their own starships.

As SWAG77 we never got around to do this roleplay due to a racist performer having Dunning-Kruger and hating aspects of Star Wars.

You cannot HATE and convincingly roleplay perform Star Wars unless you are trying to be a MARY SUE or GARY STU. We find most people LIVE through their roleplay characters rather than be themselves. Our research after 10 years is a roleplayer’s sociality suffers in real life. It hurts their education, their careers and their family life. It is an unsustainable personality. It is why SWAG77 auditions, perform test cases and re-writes in the draft performances. Why SWAG77 rehearses and restricts membership only to trained people to reflect our work. It is the standard we set and we think people can reach them if they want to.

The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 MARA JADE campaign could not be performed after our failure to understand our primary mission.

We perform strong, accurate and authentic stories on social media to reflect the spirit and vision of all Star Wars.

Where Star Wars fans start.

Perhaps another roleplaying group can take our efforts and do better. SWAG77 doesn’t mind retcons or re-writes when we know. We just want attribution for our efforts.

Grand Admiral Thrawn falls in love with Sabine Wren‘s art, and then falls in love with her. Through a series of unplanned events, Thrawn realizes he must protect Sabine. It is the “lady and the knight” trope.

#StarWars Mixed-Raced Species Hybrids

There are several mixed-raced multi-species beings in Star Wars. During Imperial times, there was high human culture. In many of the new canon, like Bloodline and Rogue One, it seems high human culture  mentality has held up.

High human culture is human supremacy or specieism. Humans are the most trusted. Aliens are untrustworthy. Humans are inherently good. Aliens are not good. It is the same done by race in humans.

Therefore, most Aliens stuck to themselves with exception of a few:

While both are full-bloodied Aliens, they still have near human and humanoid features that allow them to pass.

Interestingly, Darth Maul is a hybrid. His father is a Nightbrother Zabrak and his mother, Mother Talzin, is a Nightsister that is multi-species near human. Mother Talzin resembles human women more than she does any other species.

All this to say if an Alien or mixed-raced species did not have the Force, there was little chance of success in life in the Empire AND the Rebellion due to human xenocentric chauvinism. Only one Alien was capable to be included in the Empire and that was Grand Admiral Thrawn. There are other aliens in the Empire, but over time, they were excluded in a separate class.  The propaganda machine would say the wars with the Separatists. But the war was started by the Sith to control the galaxy due to other incursions, thought to be the “Far-Outsiders” or Yuuzhan Vong.

The Yuuzhan Vong were very xenophobic, but that did not stop them from birthing mixed-raced species. Or stop their “Master Shaper” scientists inquiring about these beings to understand them for their gods.

Our original character, Senator Yemaja Lah is an example of that. Was forced to live separately from her father’s people for fear of being killed until they found a good use for her – passing in the human world before the oogalith masquer (Human mask).

It feels like Star Wars has a bit of a problem with mixed-raced species hybrids. The hatred toward them. Not highlighting them. Anti-alien bias because some fans and creators are oblivious and some are factually bigoted.

Star Wars Actors Guild 77 finds the mixed-species story intiguing. Which means most of our story arcs will be geared toward understanding this concept. We are doing this to support real-life multiracial people who are often castigated online. We are doing this to add a different layer to the discussion of freedom: Freedom to love.

This is not about saying real-life multiracial people are not human — yes, they are and more than ever. This is about treating people right, no matter their background can be a part of making unified approach devoid of dominating hatred. People can’t change who their parents are and they cannot change what they are. So why blame them? We have to change that. How is the question?

#StarWars #RP Performance to Full Fanfiction

The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 creative process was created for fan-fiction works with a test for audience outreach. The post is about one of many of our creative processes for the Get Thrawn In Star Wars Rebels campaign.

First, we write a simple script or dedicate a simple idea based on the literature we have from Lucasfilm (canon and Legends). These activities are done privately with SWAG77 members.

For this particular story, we needed to see how well our Thrawn roleplayer interacted with us and how comfortable they would be with SWAG77 roleplayers. The Thrawn RPer has had a very good independent account and has a preference for it because of real-life obligations, such as a career.

Once our story idea has reached a consensus, then we will perform within the context our outline, and our RPers perform spontaneously by improvisation or ad-lib according to our agreed outline. The timeline setting loose, but is during the Star Wars Rebels timeline and continuity.

STORIFY was the post-capture program for this particular performance (a deprecated site).

It is about a visit that Thrawn will take to the planet, Eriadu (which WAS Lothal but has been changed), and Agent Kallus was being asked to set up his visit. Little does Kallus know, he is being evaluated by Thrawn.

After our initial performance, we post-process the transcripts and put them into a prose story format. There will be several re-writes, substitutions and deletions during the editting process. Finally, we create our Archive On Our Own Story (AO3).

Star Wars: The Vernissage – Interlude II

Our works will be featured on several sites, such as this site, AO3, Patreon, and social media. We will participate in several writing challenges, such as NaNoWriMo.

Finally, we promote our stories accordingly to all our social media platforms for the fans to read and enjoy.

Get Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels


The Get Thrawn In Star Wars Rebels Campaign was started by us, the Star Wars Actors Guild 77 because:

  1. We like Grand Admiral Thrawn as a character and villain
  2. We like Star Wars Legends books, especially Heir To The Empire
  3. We watched Star Wars Rebels “Call to Action” and it dawned on us that Thrawn could be introduced to fight the Rebels
  4. A fan on our Sabine Wren accounts stated, “Well, Sabine would have a lot to talk about with Thrawn”
  5. Lastly, I started this campaign because I was being cyberharassed and bullied by the “Continue Legends Alliance” sociopaths who whined about Disney ruining Legends and forcing them to add back the ENTIRE catalog of Legends books. I refused to promote their spewing, frothing hate. I got a hate page to attack my Facebook and Twitter pages.

It killed my business, the Ariafya LLC and the Star Wars Actors Guild 77, and what my business stands for – reading the books, writing our stories and performing them on social media…

As an older Black female Star Wars fan who has had two fan tables at Star Wars Celebrations in 2012 and 2015, before Celebration, the attacks by “fans” were personal. Messages in my inbox and lies. And that is paltry compared to what these fools do to Star Wars fans who are women and diverse.

See, being a graduate of Spelman College in 1990 and have a Masters and Doctorate in molecular biology, with postdoctoral appointments and 5 published scientific articles in aging, diabetes and heart disease gives me real world experience with crafting a very complex idea and bringing it to fruition.

Moreover, working on Obamacare and creating an award winning health forum for diverse people in my city with funding from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, also gives me real world experiences on how political campaigns work.

Because in my Freshman year in college I worked with Julian Bond campaign and marched against the Klu Klux Klan in Forsythe County Georgia to protest, — to assist in crafting Amnesty International’s stance against Apartheid in 1989,  my REAL WORLD stories and experiences drove me to show these lunatic “fans” how to a villain character back into the canon of Star Wars through Disney. That is how GET THRAWN IN got started.

The premise is simple: Thrawn as a character is define as an “art lover” to defeat his opponents by analyzing their art. The brush strokes, the craft design, what tools were uses, materials, etc. Thrawn analyzes all of that.

Let’s take art from the “masters” – Monet, Van Gogh, Dali, and Jackson Pollack and let’s analyze it for fun. How would we defeat these people and the goal is to let Disney know our experiences. This part was called “Artful Thrawn”.

Then the wonderful book, Aftermath was released and at the very end, a character reminiscent of Thrawn spoke from listening to classical music. Let’s analyze classical music from the masters – Beethoven, Mozart, Holst and Stravinsky, and pretend we are like Thrawn and analyze it to defeat planets.  The goals was to educate people about classical music and motifs that Star Wars uses. This part was called “Music Mondays” since the discussions took place on Mondays.

Concepts about Thrawn were discovered:

  • Thrawn is a synthete. He has synesthesia. It may be a natural Chiss trait. He sees colors in music that aid him to dissect the distinct nuances of cultures for a tactical advantage.
  • Thrawn knows Sabine Wren, in which he has knowledge of her artistic skill.
  • Thrawn knows about the Death Star design flaw and tells Darth Vader about it.

I’ve had fun with the campaign, I never heard anything from Disney Lucasfilm. Then a rumor is released and it is as if everyone rediscovered Thrawn and gets away with being a fan after all the bullying I endured just to make this happen. And do not say lack of knowledge, promotion can only go so far. What I did was one small fan that got tired of the whining by evil “fans” that bully others on social media and create lies. That was my passion and now they must witness my will.
