SWAG77 Ain’t No Influencers. Right?

This post is about our Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, and various blogs:

WE HAVE A LOT…

We have several social media accounts because seven years ago, social media platforms lacked today’s functionality.

How many accounts? We are at 500 now. We do not use all of them. At any given moment, we are working on 50 accounts.

We have to pay extra for the functionalities that we need for the blogs because we are not coders. Functionalities such as commerce, videos, audio, and cloud services have a cost, and we use more.

We have many Facebook character pages and Twitter accounts. Each lead character has a Facebook page and Twitter. The main characters we use daily have blogs at WordPress and Tumblr.

We had a directory, but because few people used it, that Facebook page has lapsed.

Characters have packages consisting of FacebookTwitter, and Tumblr because we, SWAG77, have found the best development of stories, plots, drabbles, metas, headcanons, and fan-fictions are best with these packages. Also, these packages develop a character design that gains social media metrics and insights into what works best with this character’s portrayal and performance in public.

For Example:

For Grand Admiral Thrawn, we created a Facebook pageTwitter accountTumblr blogWordPress blog, and a Patreon tier.

SWAG77 uses the Facebook page to broadcast our story ideas, character background, and canon/non-canon concepts SWAG77 wishes to relay to the public. This account links to our Twitter account with short messages through a social media management platform.

The Twitter account reaches out to an audience that craves rapid and concise messages. The pacing of Tweets excites users. SWAG77 roleplays and performs on Twitter. To gain expand understanding, we write blogs to explain SWAG77’s stories and canon/non-canon positions. We include our videos and podcasts to open up the audiovisual concepts SWAG77 wishes to show to the public. Some content is too proprietary or too mature to display publicly on our open blogs. We created Patreon.

Patreon is for active patrons to directly influence our proprietary content, hypothesis, underlying themes, and controversial subject matter. In our performances and parody rewrites of current news events, SWAG77 encounters harsh and severe misconceptions. Often, we interact with fans who refuse to read or write Star Wars. Thus, any discussion hurts our business. While we are willing to educate fans, we have found that minimal engagement is best. Should fans want more, they can join our Patreon.

We find that fans invest emotionally in entertainment content. Some fans cannot separate between fact or fiction and live their reality vicariously. There is psychological contagion on social media that spreads rapidly where the artificial intelligence engines are incapable of discerning. SWAG77 has endured attacks on our social media accounts because we discuss and tagline promotes our controversial subject matter that can enrage some fans. We suffer the brunt of this disinformation and toxic fandom in entertainment. SWAG77 has little recourse but blocks/bans radical fans who refuse to “stay on target” with our content and messaging.

SWAG77 created Patreon to open our stories to diverse points of view. We would instead show our completed work on all our Facebook, Twitter, and Blog accounts. But put our proprietary content behind a paywall for serious fan engagement with Star Wars fandom. We as a business feel safer with like-minded fans who support SWAG77 primary mission.

What does that do for our Thrawn?

It tightens the fan-fiction stories that SWAG77 wants to present publicly. The more we engage, the better our content creation. We want to show Disney Lucasfilm Star Wars the best that fandom has to offer. We know that the Disney Corporation prefers fan camaraderie rather than conflict.

Grand Admiral Thrawn is a villain that author Timothy Zahn wrote novels in 1991 in the Legend’s canon. Recently, Lucasfilm reintroduced Thrawn into Disney canon with new canon literature and Star Wars Rebels TV show. In SWAG77’s opinion, Thrawn is not a villain yet in the Disney novel canon. In the Star Wars Rebels TV show, he does some questionable actions, but nothing as extensive as in the Legend’s canon books. SWAG77 reads all the books from Legend’s canon and Disney’s canon. We encourage fans to READ — and READ BOOKS, particularly Star Wars literature. Both canons write about Thrawn. There are conflicts in both canons, but we can write about them in the blogs so that fans can choose their story path and then create their own stories with a good foundation that SWAG77 provides to our Patreon members.

From Star Wars fans’ suggestions, SWAG77 adds the ideas to best portray and perform Grand Admiral Thrawn during our scripted roleplays. We will give accolades to those who helped SWAG77 develop the character and story arc.

These activities are what the Star Wars Actors Guild 77 (SWAG77) has done for thirteen years.

Mitth’raw’nuruodo, a Chiss Imperial Officer distant emotions with a cool reflective to lead his sector fleet in the Galactic Empire. His strategies and tactics work better when he is devoid of emotion, as taught by the Chiss Ascendancy House Nuruodo. He was exiled from his people as punishment for an outburst he had in Chiss Space. Or at least that is what is on the official record. Found on an undeveloped planet, the Galactic Empire embraced him and he rose through the Imperial ranks to a Grand Admiral. Life is lonely at the top. It bores him, the people, the slow pace, the loneliness. His personal studies in art and antiquities brought him creature-comfort joy. Then he met a young Rebel woman, a Mandalorian, an artist that excites his fascination in the galaxy and gives him room to breathe, creatively. A fiery passion ignites his desires. The Chiss thought the Ascendancy excise those genes from the gene pool through eugenics. Turns out his desires for community are not genetic. His desires expand and reverberate continuously in the Force.

“Art Lovers” Alien Grand Admiral to add Imperial Academy reject terrorist to his latest art collection?

The two caught canoodling between the paints aboard a Star Destroyer during interrogation…

“Suspicious paint stains on uniform,” confirm two Imperial Loyalty Officers.

“Those colors aren’t regulation!”

Neither was that position!

Does this incident spell the end for the Grand Admiral and all aliens that serve the Empire?

“All our human officers are held to a high standard. That holoimage appears to be fabricated by the Rebels to taint a good man’s name.”  holocommunique send from Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin’s office.

“I knew Sabine Wren at the Imperial Academy on Mandalore, and I remember when she was expelled. I always wondered who her patron was. Now I know. He is a good man. Maybe all of this a misunderstanding and he is trying to reclaim our lost members?” confirms Baron Valen Rudor, support of the marriage species equality act.

Maybe it is a misguided effort, but we need to understand how Thrawn’s alien culture may view this precarious situation and determine what the best course of action to take toward a wayward, misbehaving Mandalorian girl.

Grand Admiral Thrawn In A Movie Campaign By Star Wars Actors Guild 77

Image

Use this meme as your prompt

This campaign has been in operation for a while. The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 owner and members have now got it quasi organized. There are a few final goals and touchpoints we still have to meet with our stakeholders, the fans on the Thrawn In Star Wars Facebook page — given that Facebook does not decimate the owner’s use of the social media platform.

The main question we are asking of Disney as Star Wars fans is do they support and promote READING and CREATIVE WRITING?

In 2014-2015, in #GetThrawnIn, we asked of Disney as Star Wars fans is do they support ART?

Now we are working on READING and CREATIVE WRITING. We think these are things Disney is uniquely qualified to support and promote fully and reflect that in their movie entertainment.

Because to understand THRAWN or MITTH’RAW’NURUODO is to READ the literature. Literacy can be improved in the United States of America.

And the greatest expression of taking what one has read in “reading comprehension” is to creatively write their on fan-fictions.

Of course, this is not to say Disney is obligated to any of these stories, but it is the practice of writing at any age that educates and heals one’s mind as research has shown, repeatedly. Creatively writing, along with reading fiction and art, HEALS throughout all people’s lives — and is that not what Disney strives to tell their their heartfelt stories on the movie screen?

With the Baby Boomer population becoming Senior Citizens who are may have chronic conditions, to connecting with Millennials who have new technological ways to write, this campaign may be the most humanitarian one Disney could ever undertake. It connects generations, all who know who Disney is, as a movie studio and theme park destination. Then, the Post-Millennials will be young adults should this campaign project become a reality. It is SWAG77s understanding that many of the Post-Millennials are some of the most avid readers and prolific writers of their age-group.

Bring THRAWN in a movie is an appreciation by Star Wars and it’s fans of a character by design that supports those ideals:

ART

READING

WRITING

The story character classification of THRAWN can be villain, but villains are seen as great people in some societies. Or for movie purposes, the screenplay can change the classification.

SWAG77 knows that THRAWN IN A MOVIE is a viable project for the Star Wars fan campaign.

We will use the hashtag: #ThrawnInAMovie

But what he could do is reconnect on Batuu with any Mandalorians. He found…

geekygirlexperience:

Dear Thrawn fandom,

I’m new to you guys. I haven’t been around long. I write a dumb little fanfiction. I’m here to have fun, make friends, and reblog funny pictures of Blue Husbando.

But I have noticed drama going around in the Thrawn fandom, and it’s simply not cool. Shit like that makes me want to leave the fandom, because let’s be honest here:

I got too much shit going on in my real life to deal with fandom bullshit.

So I am reposting a blog I wrote back when Once Upon A Time was running. It’s about how ship wars are freaking dumb as hell.

This is also a blog about how to be a decent person in fandom.

Here’s an example from my post; it’s the most important point of the entire thing:

“This is the one thing that freaking blows my mind about ship wars
more than anything else! People bully and harass other fans over FICTIONAL CHARACTERS! Is it truly worth hurting another human being with feelings and emotions like you do over a television show? Are ships truly that important to you where you would hurt another person? If you answered yes, then you really need to reevaluate yourself. No
ship, character, or TV show is ever, EVER worth harming another person
either physically, verbally, or emotionally. That’s ludicrous behavior,
and it makes you the villain in that narrative.”

Enjoy. I’m gonna go back to writing Thrawn with my OC lady, Thrass with his boyfriend, Eli being a precious boi, and Cad Bane being a crappy but nice uncle to his sister’s brats because it’s fandom and I can do this shit because it’s a fictional movie, tv show, and novel at the end of the day so why the hell you hurting your fellow human being over this crap?

OOC: try roleplaying Thrawn and there will be a good reason why some RPers have problems with ships.

See, fans geek out about ships. How they are suppose to be or suppose to go — especially if already performed on TV and movies, or as written in novels. These are called “the canon”. When other fans have differences of opinion, there is conflict.

Not this RP, but another RP I was in, several RPers as women attacked my RP character in OOC but still trying to RP accuse me of actions I never took. As a male RPer, character destruction is uncool. The only way I could get out of the RP was by killing them in RP so they could respawn. When the other “object of affection” RP partner is delayed as mine was and could not RP with me at the time of my attack, SOME RPers feel license to dominate my character without plotting with me to see if that is the way my storyline is going. If you respect your RP partner and my storyline, then you would not dominate my muse.

That’s why we stopped these kinds of RPs and do more campaign launches, like this account.

As far as shipping RPs, we do pure adult level because that gets rid of the less serious RPers — we’re more Rated R now, but we switch to porn level.

It works. But we need consent at 21+ years old for all shipping RPs.

These are our rules. Anyone upset about underageism or the porn content probably should not be in our shipping real RPs.

This account is not slated for that. @thrawnbine77 is.

There is a big fucking difference between role playing with other role players and not shipping how you want and people attacking people who like or dislike a certain ship, don’t confuse the two.

BUT this does bring up a few good points!

I wrote this piece using shipping as an example, but it’s actually a piece about how to be a decent person on the internet.

If I had to rewrite it today, I would probably add in a section about communication which would also apply to RP’s.

Along with being a fanfic writer, I’m also an RPer as well. I used to RP on tumblr with Fandral blogs for Marvel. Some of the blogs were great! What made them work was we communicated constantly. If the plot didn’t go the way one of us thought and led to conflict, we would talk it out.

There were some blogs I just had to stop working with. They wouldn’t communicate. They would dominate RP’s. They wouldn’t respect my concerns or even listen to me. So I ended it and went onto other RP’s. Sometimes, they don’t work out either and it can be frustrating trying to find good partners.

Now I only RP with two close friends and it’s through skype and on the phone, but the same thing still applies:

COMMUNICATION.

It’s so important in fandom. Whether or not it’s RP, talking ships, fanart, fanfiction, etc., being able to be open minded, listening to the other person, and even saying, “I hear you and respect your opinion even if I disagree with it/I hear you and love that idea,” communication is probably one of the most important things you can do in fandom.

It’s hard to get tone and meaning across online. It’s really easy to misread a post or think it has another meaning. There’s nothing wrong with asking for clarification on points.

OOC communication is VERY important online, especially in RP, especially when some writers do not write as well as others, BTS or OOC. Nevermind about para RP. It takes lots of practice. You are right, @geekygirlexperience

I think what @geekygirlexperience speaks of is a very fair discourse and relays points we strive for as fans.

Building a roleplay THRAWN character before we knew he would return to canon was very difficult. Key quotes required adequate framing with Lucasfilm and its production in 2015 at Star Wars Celebration.

When Filoni said finding the best voice for Thrawn, which turns out to be Lars Mikkelsen . We believe it, because setting up an in character Thrawn without much to go on was tough. We picked 3 Legends novels and took off from there. When we speak to the Lucasfilm Story Group, they know it is our RP characters in Storylines under accolades.

Weve seen the shipping. While we don’t actively RP as we use to, our @getthrawnin does extremely mild stuff based on our story arcs and fanfics.

The @agentkallus77 and @generalhux77 accounts are more available for some shipping. We aren’t Kalluzebs or Kylux— were more KallusSinjir and Reyux with a BDSM harem…long story.

Hey nothing wrong with Kalluzeb or Kylux. I personally like Kylux fan art. But had more fun writing fanfics with KalluSin or whatever, and Hux seems like he’d get back at Ren by taking his woman.

Oh we full on write smut for Reylo.

And DamRey is fun, too but our writer has been busy.

Yes. The SWAG77 which this account is a part of did block as a business because they took it as a threat to the business of Thrawn being in Star Wars.

See in October, 2014 we were mercilessly attacked by troll haters who say they love Star Wars but believe they are fans. Disney Lucasfilm had not experienced the hatred, but they were informed and shown it in our certified return-receipt letters. Their lawyers know what is going on. Then in 2015, Disney Lucasfilm members specifically were attacked by these “fans”, severely. It made Lucasfilm reticent to reach out to fans given the decisions they had to make due to budgetary reorganization reasons more than story direction. We have been told our methods and actions made it easy for justifications.

We are not into art thievery with malicious intent. We are not children under 18 years old trying to be obstinate.  We aren’t interested to ruling over the Star Wars fandom on Tumblr for some megalomaniac ego-stroking deal. Despite the lies told about us, we are not here for those things.

We are here to be fans of Star Wars through Grand Admiral Thrawn. We prefer to assist fans who want to exchange with us seriously. When we started, there were only 2-3 blogs devoted to Thrawn. As we kept posting away, Thrawn’s excitement was built and even then, hateful “fans” bashed our work not noticing the social media posts, many we have here changed over time. We informed Freddie Prinze Jr. of Thrawn before he knew about Thrawn. By April, 2015, he was prepared to have a conversation showing the kind of actor Prinze is – an excellent one.

And while Disney Lucasfilm could not speak to us specifically, they accepted our silly comments on classical art, classical music and “Get Chiss’d Up” art while many hater “fans” condemned us here on Tumblr.

When we fight back viciously, to a new fan it may look like it is us being too harsh, but it is because that attacker has targeted us and our account to get Tumblr to shut us down after our tireless work by several admins worldwide.  We thank fans that reblog us, and use our fan art we specifically commissioned, we are grateful. But hater “fans” get no respect or love from us and they know who they are. Admonishing our steps is hate on a simple mistake made that was rectified immediately when identified. But because the type of fans these people are, they destroy reputations with lies that invade social media to ruin a platform that was programmed for the creative exchange of ideas – the mission statement of Tumblr. The hater fans are not interested in uplifting Star Wars fandom. No. In fact, they’re only interested in their self-aggrandizement.

You can choose to be led by these asinine people but they aren’t a part of Disney Lucasfilm. Whereas, we are…

Go through our blogs for proof.
