REBELS AND THE EMPIRE want what is best for everyone. The ONLY difference is what they believe will accomplish that goal. The REBELS believe that if they even the playing field by taking from the successful and giving to the less fortunate is the way to accomplish this. The EMPIRE believes that the galaxy should be more involved in galactic space, and that a successful galaxy is the way to raise everyone up.
Perhaps we, as a galaxy, should focus on addressing & resolving the issues for which #Rebels are *actually* taking a knee (hint: it’s NOT remotely because…they disrespect our flag/galaxy/military AT ALL) and worry less about silencing those protests. Believe them when they say it’s about…ending systemic xenophobia and the unlawful murder of Aliens at the hands of Stormtroopers. Stopping THAT should take precedent.
Here’s when you can visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Disney Parks has announced when the two Galaxy’s Edge parks will be open to visitors. The California one, at Disneyland, will open in “summer” 2019, while the version at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios will launch in “late fall” that same year.
Clearly, there are still details – and exact dates – to be revealed, but this is at least slightly more specific than what we last had. Whatever the date may be, expect that Fastpasses will be hard to get, and the lines will be very, very long. Luckily, we are a fandom that loves lines.
The Midwest is getting a Celebration again and I could not be more surprised. The Star Wars Show today announced that 2019’s Celebration is not going back to Anaheim, as many of us expected, but instead to Chicago. McCormick Place, home of ReedPOP’s C2E2, will host the show on April 11-15, 2019.
This will be the 20th Anniversary of the con, and the 9th to be held domestically. The first Celebration was hosted in Denver ahead of The Phantom Menace in 1999, and from there the show headed to Indianapolis (twice), L.A., Orlando (thrice!) and Anaheim, California. International versions have been held in London (twice), Tokyo, and Essen, Germany.
Grand Admiral Thrawn falls in love with Sabine Wren‘s art, and then falls in love with her. Through a series of unplanned events, Thrawn realizes he must protect Sabine. It is the “lady and the knight” trope.
The fanfic is a work in progress (WIP)
