Now you know why @SWAG_77 is careful in our character preps – SPOILERS

Most of the members have OC’s we LOVE playing because we decide when we will kill them versus the shows. But OC’s have to prove themselves and not look like Mary Sues/Gary Stus with godmodding and tropes. That’s what makes them hard to maintain. Moreover, there are NO images and they’d have to be collected and made into believability.

The fact that ALL RPers who have OCs really work hard to do this sort of thing means that there is a standard they follow and really work at that makes roleplay (RP) part of the fun. Most OCs are done very well.

However, for SWAG 77, Lucasfilm told us no OCs, must follow the canon, continuity and timeline: I.E. Darth Vader does not have a wife in the the “Dark Times” and after era, so that means we cannot RP him with a “wife”.

That means new characters seen on TV have to be predicted as to what the writers have in store for us:

Like “Fives”. Why build blogs, pages, twitter accounts, etc. for LFL to do a “Game of Thrones” style exit on a character? All the stories must be dismantled and the social media has to be changed. For SWAG 77, it’s normal, par for the course. To us, we’re use to it. For the fans, it really messes with their minds.

All this to say, SWAG 77’s predictions were wrong about the character “Fives"  and we’re fine with that. Sometimes our hypotheses are incorrect, we’ll move on.

Here’s the thing: This is why we ask ALL our members to do a THEMATIC character representation vs. a individual method character representation. A THEMATIC acting vs. METHOD acting. Social Media psychologically binds people’s psyches and it is part of the coding of it. The discoveries of what happens to people who use social media are underway in neuropsychiatric behavioral health and sociology, and at this moment are unknown. But what we do know, is we are attached to our character when we build all these social media portals and platforms for them and interact with people. It hurts when our favorite characters are made to die by writers that are not tied to them tightly like fans are. Writers are trained to stand back and disconnect for dispassionate control of their character’s interaction. Changes and edits are made collectively to agree with logical flow of story building with a lot of marketing. And the story writing group gets the approvals to move forward to storyboarding. Last minute script changes are made so that flow is logical. That is how it done IRL.

As for "FIVES” character: In story group meeting they probably wrangled with this issue. But they came to a resolution and this is the direction they chose. Our group doesn’t know why, but it probably has something to do with Star Wars Rebels and future episodes. It is the editing on the film floor kind of thing. It would have not made sense to keep moving forward in a “wind down” and build up to a new series. This is the COST OF STAR WARS FANDOM.

But oh well… Let’s keep moving forward. Will this incident affect your fandom and stop you from roleplaying online? Probably not. You love Star Wars, don’t you? Then show it, grieve if you have to, and keep it moving.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Caps: The Clone Wars Bonus Content – Distribution Method Rumour

I’m sure most of us have seen the rumour posted by Jedi News a few days ago about how the Clone Wars bonus content may be released. It is not a good thing, we should not be dismissing what is said, even in a mere rumour.

This is what was said: “A Disney branded app for Star Wars will launch on…

If this becomes true, they have gone to far. I hope lucas feels like shit for what he has done by selling to Disney, who has done more bad things then good.

Lucas, please buy your life back from the evil empire.

Purchasing off of iTunes is not that hard. And it’s actually nice because the licenses are already there. Sorry that you feel that way about Disney and Lucasfilm, but it is business after all and Lucas has moved on with his life and family.
