The new Star Wars Episode IX trailer was released at Star Wars Celebration Chicago. It has the title: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER.
Interesting that there is now in the story only ONE bloodied SKYWALKER unless there are more things to come and someone did some freaky-deeky stuff that is not in a Disney show. Right now, the ONLY Skywalker by blood is Ben Solo, also known as Kylo Ren. But he would deny that. Then again, in THE LAST JEDI, he admitted he classifies himself as a SKYWALKER as he grew up.
So for all those who don’t watch soap operas, Princess Leia is the daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Naberrie Amidala-Skywalker… She has a twin brother, Luke Skywalker. Separated at birth, Leia was given to Bail and Breha Organa, who adopted her on Alderaan. Leia grew up in her whole life thinking she was an Organa, until RETURN OF THE JEDI where Luke tells her he was his twin sister. Then in the prequels, they verified it all.
Eventually, Leia got with Han Solo, and they got married and had a son they named BEN. So this differs from the Star Wars Expanded Universe (SWEU) or Legends that Disney Lucasfilm ERASED. Now, there’s only BEN. Ben Solo. No mention of the Skywalker name because of Luke being famous. Then the galaxy’s discovery that Darth Vader was Luke and Leia’s father. The powers that be learned that Darth Vader was once Anakin Skywalker that turned to evil. The famous Jedi that saved Coruscant and ended the Clone Wars. Didn’t he die? And now there is Darth Vader — the evilest man in the galaxy…
Who wouldn’t want to shut down that mess?
But a story to explain the meaning of SKYWALKER… As a business decision, it looks like Disney and Lucasfilm writers want a new Jedi class, called SKYWALKERS — like any Light Sided Force User can be a SKYWALKER if they exemplify the true meaning of 1000 generations for their fight… Right?
The story SKYWALKER not meaning blood, but a new designation comes from THRAWN ALLIANCES – where Grand Admiral Thrawn tricks Darth Vader to navigate a Star Destroyer through an uncharted region of space without a nav-computer – remember Nav-computers can calculate zettabytes of data within milliseconds before the jump to lightspeed. Thrawn said the Chiss had developed this technology with their Force-sensitive Chiss, who were children, dedicating themselves to the greater Chiss cause for their space (SWEU would say the Chiss were space-faring for 20,000 years before they found their space home called Csilla (source)).
Since Darth Vader was a powerful Force user, who could “power” a Navigation through complex uncharted hyperspace. The Chiss called it in their language: Ozyly-esehembo or “sky walker.” If the Chiss knew about this power, many other people knew about it, too…
At some point, the knowledge to the core became lost. Since the Chiss were isolationists and xenophobic, the knowledge never waned. Stuck in the Chaos of space, they had difficulty finding the Empire.
The other issue is THRAWN knew about the ability. An exiled Chiss who had the commander’s rank when he left the Chiss Defense Fleet knew about a potent Force ability: to sky walkthrough uncharted hyperspace…
Now, yes, Darth Vader, as Anakin Skywalker, could pass those few genes required to work in Ben Solo. But stress affects the Force. And Leia is the only one to pass the Force to Ben. And Ben needs the Dark Side to make himself powerful.
Rey, on the other hand, has the genes, too, not under duress. Sees equivalence and balance. She is a rare seed that creates a rare wildflower. She has raw power that she learned how to mold. Fearless in trying new powers. One of them, SKY WALKING.
We see that in the images as she flies above a TIE interceptor ship. Moreover, she can do much more than that. We shall see in Episode IX.
