The irony of this all when art imitates real life:
If you take the Permelian trade route, a new holobillboard may catch your eye. It’s a pro-choice holobillboard in response to what the organizers call an anti-choice campaign they say targeted specific planets this spring.
NightsisterReach is behind them. The first debuted on Primeday and three more will join it by the end of the season.
The CEO NightSisterReach, says seeing the billboards by Pro-Life Across the Stars, a pro-life organization out of Naboo, “triggered” her.
“I’m a Dathomirian woman and I’ve had to have an abortion,” she says. “I’ve had to make that hard choice and the last thing I need is to be shamed. What I need is support.”The billboards were placed in near Dathomir, Concord Dawn and Boz Pity and have messages reading “life begins at conception,” “dad’s princess,” and “heart beat at 18 days.”
NightSisterReach’s own billboards in response include messages like
“I don’t deserve to be shamed for my reproductive health decisions,” and
“I deserve: reliable, accurate sex education.”
However, not everyone is on board.“I don’t agree with the billboards,” says Countess, who declined to give her surname. “I believe life begins at conception and I think every life matters and so I don’t agree with promoting something that diminishes life and doesn’t respect the dignity of it.
