Possible scenario for a THRAWN script in #StarWarsRebels.
We do this from time-to-time and we should provide a framework for this story.
We might have to edge outside of the known Legends/Star Wars Expanded Universe canon. The key is to not grossly conflict with continuity or find a way around it as a famous TV/Movie writers says.
Let’s see what you think about this script:
DARTH VADER: I see your tour of this station is complete, Captain. Thoughts?
THRAWN: My Lord?
DARTH VADER: I can sense them.
THRAWN: Yes, I know. The Emperor and you are Sith. But you, Lord Vader, your mannerisms are much like a Jedi’s. Not quite a Sith’s.
DARTH VADER: Explain.
THRAWN: Your cordiality, your walk, your phraseology. It is like a negotiation for you as you search for common ground. May I inquire, do the problems with this station annoy you, too.
DARTH VADER: How?
THRAWN: Just like a work of art, the greatness of this station has beauty, but it also has flaws. Blemishes right now, that will not become apparent until the station is complete. But sometimes, there are huge gaping holes that stand out in a functional art piece that are difficult to ignore. The artist must take it upon himself to learn from these setbacks and retrace his steps, which is missing here.
DARTH VADER: What would you suggest?
THRAWN: My lord, if I can see the flaws, so can our enemies and they might find a way to exploit this flaw to unravel the entire piece of art.
DARTH VADER: I see.
THRAWN: But theses Imperials will not listen, to either of us. If I were stationed here, our enemies will learn of this blemish in our art. When they do, I would have an exit strategy.
Comlink alerts for the meeting with EMPEROR PALPATINE as Royal Imperial Guards appear to admit THRAWN.
THRAWN: My lord, may I make a suggestion? It is just my art critique. All Imperial builds matter.
Evaluate. Honest opinions. It does fall out of SWEU continuity, but it’s tight enough that it could have happened.
