What these #SWEU bash-haters don’t get is they’re at 7% of total revenue. These days, you need 35%-40% profit gross receipts to make your return of investment. The sheer numbers show that books sales are 5-fold less for the amount of labor to be in the black. You lose money by writing a book. Sad but true. These are the facts (x).
Whining about it is not going to change it unless you can grow capital – such as $2 billion.
This is not to say that books should NOT be made, but that’s why Disney Lucasfilm pursued “new canon”, that extend an expansion that stifled their creativity.
You can say what you want, but Disney Lucasfilm will not change, end of discussion. You are going to have to provide a “ways and means” to implement any project.
