I am male. From 2014 to current, the underpinnings and conceptual design of the #GetThrawnIn #StarWarsRebels project was organized by a PhD scientist who is also a Star Wars fan that has had two consecutive years of Star Wars fan tables at Celebration. 2017 will be our third time.
She is a professional political organizer that marched against the Klu Klux Klan in Forsythe County, Georgia in 1987 with Hosea Williams and Ralph Abernathy who marched with MLK. She fought against South African Apartheid with Amnesty International. She stood endured the LA Riots in 1992. And she fought for Obamacare. If anyone were to get across the reasoning it took to present to a corporation in a professional manner, this would be Dr. G-
She hates behind the scenes discussions, because there are ignorant children that are disrespectful and are dumb about history and are cruel to people. But I’ve known Dr. G- since 2003 and when she came to me with this cause, I wanted to be involved. When she is attacked by idiots, I fight back hard.
Pep-No you calling Bo-Katan crazy who needs Psychiatric Help is ABLEIST RACISM. It shows that Dr. G- outmaneuvers your weak argument that’s flawed. Your Star Wars fandom is fucked up and you are a bigot.
To anyone who hates the Star Wars Actors Guild 77 and sees our Twitter work, we have no official RP since 2015. What you see on Twitter is us being nice with other people and fooling around. Generally, we do not RP much after May 2016 due to a racist in the group lying about our membership and money. It is why we do not have new membership. It takes a lot of training.
We can write to our liking. We are fine with that. All hate can be answered here: bit.ly/ThrawnStore1
[sic] “Her and Grand Admiral Thrawn would have a lot to talk about…”
In 2014, Lucasfilm Star Wars released the images of the Star Wars Rebels characters. That issue incidentally marked the hate groups in Star Wars fandom and their cyberbullying harassment of mainly female characters, one being SABINE WREN who is an artist.
The development of her artistry over the last two seasons has been less and less.
Season 3, we have not seen her actually PAINT as much as she use to. There is a reason. A “new” beloved character was introduced.
The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 started the #GetThrawnIn Campaign in 2015 due to the cyberbulling for appreciating Disney Star Wars, but we also started the campaign, because of the above official Star Wars Rebels Facebook Page conversation with other fans (source) in 2014…
SWAG77 hereby announces our PROOF that fans positively interacted with Disney Lucasfilm to assist in the planning of the story arc of Star Wars Rebels… It does coalesce with other posted social media.
SWAG77 #GetThrawnIn campaign helped guide respectful discussions with corporate entity. SWAG77 knows Disney Lucasfilm Star Wars likes how we portray their character on mainstream social media outlets. SWAG77’s careful considerations to their process and folding it into our full creative expression, and SWAG77 involves ourselves in their fan activities at Star Wars Celebration in 2012, 2015 and hopefully, 2017.
For 2017, we hope to make a new influence, that is positive, creative and fun with professionalism.
The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 (SWAG 77) is a social media entertainment and performance fan group dedicated to providing strong, accurate, and authentic online portrayals of Star Wars characters on various social media platforms. We tell stories on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. I am the owner of this group.
But, this article is about the owner, me, Dr. Gina Moore-Sanders and my campaign to include the beloved villain, Grand Admiral Thrawn in the latest Star Wars canon.
It has been a tumultuous ~2 years for the #GetThrawnIn #StarWarsRebels campaign. We had many attacks by angry fans who felt they must control the creative concepts of Lucasfilm. Their process attacks them online through cyberharassment and bullying, as recent as Star Wars Celebration Europe toward a famous author (source).
We have over 90 images from Jackson Pollock’s string paintings to the recent Maria Kreyn’s “Alone Together” painting used in ABC’s “To Catch A Thief”.
We have built a 62 youtube playlist from classical music composers and artists that highlight story motifs that highlight essential part from all the Star Wars movies. Composers like Stravinsky and Holst. However, we have learned to love classics from Gustav Mahler and Rachmaninov.
The art and music components were for exposure to ask the question, what types of art and music would the character Thrawn see and hear to evaluate a culture. Based on our reading of both Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire and Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath, we discover that Thrawn chose a variety of art pieces to evaluation, most were holographic scupltures. But he had a fine appreciation for color that only 2-D paintings provide. As far as the music, he enjoy symphonies and orchestras. Strings instruments were fine, but it is never stated that within the movements of work he heard, what kind of instruments he had an affinity toward.
As far as interpretation of each piece, we did not make any. We wanted our audience to do it. Then, we discover they were woefully ignorant of fine art and classical music. Why choose those colors? Why that montage of sound? That is when we learned that Thrawn probably has synesthesia – he can see color in sound and numbers to music. He has a collection of senses that amplify when he interacts with art and music. It might be an activity of the Chiss, then again, it may just be a character trait of Thrawn and he applies his abilities with his war training and tactical strategy.
We also have an Arts and Crafts component with what we call, “Save The Ysalamiri“. These Star Wars Legends’ canon creatures, Ysalamiri, form Force Neutral bubbles in 10 meters in diameter that can stop Force Users from using their Force powers. These creatures, Ysalamiri, appear like pets of a cat-dog-iguana appearance and only lived on one planet, on an “endangered” tree. In Heir to the Empire, Thrawn discovered a way to remove Ysalamiri from their trees without killing them and use them to his advantage. In real life, we created sock puppets for family enjoyment.
