Let’s be clear about what your fandom is. Star Wars is not about diversity. It’s about power and control. Your fans shoot up schools. Wakanda fans recite poetry and paint sculptures and dance. Tentpole movies are about inspiration. Star Wars is old and decrepit. It’s story arc played. No one cares. Excitement are a bunch of 40-something year old white men hitting each other with a stick. With Black Panther and winners of the Oscars 90, the audience wants something more and different in their movies. Not Star Wars.
